Ethan Wagner

Software Developer

I build and ship mobile, web, backend, and Windows desktop software. AI coding tools are central to how I work; I remain responsible for product behavior, integrations, testing, deployment, and production support while continuing to improve my code-review and software-design judgment.

My work includes Home Fire Pizza’s live ordering and operations platform, GamePlay’s local video-processing application, and five months contributing to a new education platform alongside senior developers at Eduware.

Primary case study

Home Fire Pizza Ordering & Operations Platform

A connected public website, Android ordering app, operator CMS, ordering API, and kitchen wait service for a mobile wood-fired pizza operation. Android is live on Google Play.

Home Fire Pizza composite showing website, customer mobile app, and operator dashboard as one connected production stack.

Unlike a fixed restaurant, Home Fire moves between events with changing locations, hours, availability, and wait times. The real product problem was operating that business in software — not just showing a menu.

Owned product requirements, Square and Supabase integrations, deployments, Google Play release, and ongoing production support.

  • Customer app

Ordering, accounts, Square checkout, loyalty, live status, and push.

  • Public website

Brand, events, status, and wait info without requiring an install.

  • Operator CMS

Events, availability, open/closed gating, menus, and orders — no code changes.

  • Backend services

Auth, payments, loyalty, realtime state, wait API, and kitchen sync.

Technical case study

Active development2024 – Present

GamePlay

A Windows desktop application that records gameplay, detects match state and potential highlights, and assembles clips and montages locally — Electron, React, TypeScript, FFmpeg, ONNX/YOLO, code signing, and auto-updates.

GamePlay desktop operations console and companion site with live state detection.

Record or analyze gameplay, detect match state, score likely highlights, extract clips, and assemble a montage without scrubbing hours of footage by hand.

Desktop
Electron · React · TypeScript
Capture
FFmpeg · NVENC paths
Detection
Local YOLO + ONNX Runtime (PUBG today)
Distribution
Azure Trusted Signing · auto-updates

Status is intentional: shipping desktop infrastructure and a working detection pipeline — not claiming a mass-market consumer release.

Golf booking & operations

Working demo of a public course site, tee times, Stripe-ready payments, and staff tee-sheet admin. Shows workflow translation — not a live course deployment. Secondary to the production work above; included here as additional product exploration.

Public golf course website with tee times, storytelling, events, and booking entry.

I am strongest at turning real requirements into working software, learning unfamiliar systems quickly, and carrying projects through deployment. I am continuing to deepen my engineering fundamentals, testing discipline, and ability to evaluate AI-assisted code.
